Nunca é tarde and ainda é cedo are two expressions with similar meanings, but opposite feelings. Sometimes we are more optimistic, sometimes more pessimistic. Here they are a pair, creating a tension between and a reflection in the way we use language. How long can they stay together?

The lettering is inspired by the bulletin for the inauguration of the bridge over the Targus River in Lisbon, from 1966.
